About our Guest

Lakeland native Ahmad Taylor spent the majority of his youth sketching, drawing, and doodling through wide-eyed observation and unbridled imagination. A graduate of Harrison School for the Arts, Taylor went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida.

Among his many artistic accomplishments, Taylor is best known for creating public art around the city of Lakeland including notable murals such as Greetings from Lakeland, located at the Boring Business Systems+ and Lakeland Swans, located downtown at Urban Farm at Mass Market.

In addition, Taylor is also a celebrated writer and children’s book illustrator. His debut book, The Color Machine, is a timeless tale about standing together, when all hope seems lost.

Taylor currently resides in Atlanta with his wife, three daughters, and their Maltipoo.
