Join us for our monthly film screening series featuring the best in internationally-renowned independent and arts-related movies- The Art of Film.

The Art of Film presents a forum for appreciating movies as an art form. With audience Q&A and talkback sessions with film directors and faculty from Florida Southern College following each screening, this unique Polk Museum series will entertain, engage, and educate audiences of all ages.

Synopsis: a 2003 American biographical comedy-drama film about Harvey Pekar, the author of the American Splendor comic book series.

Director: Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini

Shari Springer Berman was born on July 13, 1963 in New York City, New York, USA. She is a director and writer, known for American Splendor (2003), The Nanny Diaries(2007) and The Extra Man (2010). 

Robert Pulcini was born on August 24, 1964 in New York City, New York, USA. He is a director and writer, known for American Splendor (2003), Cinema Verite (2011) and The Nanny Diaries (2007).
