Lockdown, Celine Held and Logan George, 2019

Join Matthew Herbertz, Assistant Professor of Film at Florida Southern College, along with co-writer/director Celine Held and Logan George of ELO Films, for another Virtual Art of Film on Facebook Live!

This Art of Film will include a screening of two ELO Films, “Lockdown” and “Caroline,” followed by a Q&A session with Logan and Celine. “Lockdown” is a 2019 short film set within a lockdown of a middle school after a reported violent threat. This impactful film premiered at Sundance and went on to screen at SXSW and many other notable festivals across the world.

“Caroline” follows a single mother as she prepared for a job interview that she so desperately needs. In order to attend the interview, she is forced to leave her daughter, Caroline, and her siblings in a car on a hot day in Texas. This short film permiered at SXSW and was honored with an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival in France. “Caroline” has received numerous awards and qualified for an Academy Award consideration.

As a team, Logan & Celine’s work has been nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 71st Cannes Film Festival and has premiered in competition at Sundance Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, SXSW, Hamptons International Film Festival, among many more.

This dynamic duo was also named among Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film in 2017.
